It is always bittersweet to see old friends.
Last night Meredith had a great time meeting up with some of her old friends from WECCC at the wedding of Ms. Jenny whom they all loved so much! Meredith was so excited to be able to sit with the other families of current students near the front of the auditorium for the ceremony. While she was glad to see a couple of the boys, Meredith really enjoyed the girls and insisted that they sit together at the reception. It was sweet to see them together, talking like they were old friends.
But then it was time to leave the party (it was already way past bedtime) and it was hard for Meredith to say goodbye. On the way home, she kept saying, "I want to see my old friends every day. I want to be in Ms. Jenny's class everyday." Parting is such sweet sorrow...
But then a few "girly songs" in the car seemed to change the mood and the old friends haven't been a topic of discussion yet today. :)
