We have always delayed in taking Meredith to try new things....mainly so we don't have to say "no" to her asking to do it again...and again....and again... but also to protect her innocence as long as possible.
Anyhow, after shopping far too long for a new dishwasher (yes, ours died, and yes, we do comparison shopping) we decided a nice reward would be to see the movie Ramona and Beezus....since I thoroughly loved those books when I was a kid. Anyhow, Meredith was excited to go to the movie (only her second time in a movie theatre) and enjoyed it...until it ended.
Then the drama of a very tired little girl not wanting to go home for a late dinner after having shopped too many appliance stores began....and it wound up being a long night.
So much for a fun family together day!
