Trip to the BEACH!

We haven't been to the beach since before Meredith was born....and we were both needing a "real" vacation. One where you aren't in the home of relatives.... So, we planned it on a whim and headed south to the BEACH. We've been telling Meredith about it and were a bit cautious in thinking that she'd love it.

But she does.

It was dark when we pulled into the condo parking lot...but before we checked in, we headed around through the back gate to the sand. Wow. Meredith was screaming and loving it. Unfortunately, the photos don't do it justice. That was Saturday night.

Then, Sunday brings church in a strange place (which M was not up for...) and lunch out and then a nap before we could go to the water again. But, thankfully, the nap began (eventually, though late, I assume due to the anticipation of going out) and ended late but by 5:30 last night we finally went to the pool and to the beach.

I can't begin to tell you what a marvelous moment it was to be running along the beach with Meredith saying "1-2-3 Run! This is fun, Mommy!" She absolutely loved running in the surf, making huge splashes. She wanted me to hold her hand and that is the best feeling ever...particularly on Mother's Day. :)

Hope you had a nice Mother's Day. This Marvelous Meredith that I have has made it an Amazing Adventure, this parenting thing!
